Fast! Which cars sold in the United States were discontinued before the calendar flipped to 2012? A lot of models, actually. Each of the three major U.S. manufacturers to stop one or more models, but few foreign companies has fallen by one or more models too.
What is death? For several reasons, including slow sales, or replacement of obsolete design a new model. We have pulled together a list of vehicles that were last produced in 2011, and will probably never be seen again new:
Cadillac - GM killed several large sedans last summer, including the Buick Lucerne and two models: the Cadillac DTS and OPS.Lucerne zamijenjen.DTS will be replaced and the STS this year XTS, a large front or all-wheel drive sedan.
Chevrolet - So long, HHR! This heritage high roof model was developed to compete with the Chrysler PT Cruiser. Riding on the Cobalt platform extinct, HHR's time is limited. Good thing too: PT Cruiser was completed last year, HHR true anomaly in the market
.Dodge - Three Chevrolet models have been axed, with only one expected to be zamijenjen.Dodge Nitro compact SUV based on the Jeep Liberty is prekinut.Dodge Dakota, a small pickup truck that was first sold in the late 1980s, the Dodge Caliber prekinuto.Kompaktan, a product of DaimlerChrysler debacle, saw its end after six years of model run. Only Caliber will be replaced with a 2013 Dodge Dart comes to the market this year.
Ford - A police car fleet is dominated by Ford Crown Victoria, but even that has not seen the end of the car. First introduced three decades ago, "the crown Vic" received only minor updates over the years. The new police car of choice or the Ford Taurus sedan and Ford Escape crossover. Also abolished. Ford Ranger compact pickup truck that May occur if one day decides Ford introduced his replacement is now on sale in many world markets
Honda - Honda sells some of the longest running model names on the market, including the Civic and Accord dates from 1970. Unfortunately, its boxy Element deep sixed, utility vehicle, which was popular with dog owners and the yard sale navijača.Pilot, Ridgeline and Odyssey will assume this responsibility.
Mazda - Mazda can still go back to rotary drive the car, but with the RX-8, which is canceled, the technology is embraced by so 40 years ago won "t be available in North America. his Mazda Tribute small crossover is finished too, but its replacement, the CX-5 is already waiting in the wings.
Mitsubishi - We've seen a myriad of Mitsubishi products sold since 1970, first as an add-on products for the Plymouth, Dodge and Chrysler line up, and then as its brand. Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe and convertible is now dead as his big, bulky and dated Endeavor SUV. Surprisingly, dated sedan gallant soldiers, but we know that the replacement of these older vehicles will eventually come.
Saab - Three Saab models have come to an end, because Saab does not exist on 19 December 2011.Tvrtka is in bankruptcy, liquidation, but of this writing you can still find a new 9-3, 9-4X and 9-5 models in search of a home. Saab reemerge one days, but for now this Swedish brand and model line has disappeared.
Should I buy a model without a parent? If you are looking for a good deal, go ahead and take into account the one from sustainable manufacturers. Otherwise, stay away from Saab and be aware that the vehicle you buy is not quite worth anywhere near its pre-discount price stickers.
